Mpumalanga falls in the summer rainfall regions
of Southern Africa. Rain season generally starts in October and ends in March. January
and February are the wettest month with high humidity percentages. Often there are
severe thunderstorms during the late afternoon or early evening.
The winter months are very dry. Days are warm and nights mild. Many will tell you that the dry months are the best time for game viewing. This is for the simple reason that the grasses are much shorter than in summer. Winter or dry season is from April till September. Very seldom does any one in this region talk of an autumn or spring, most talk of dry and wet seasons. |
